UPDATE | EU Funding News
Good news from the European Parliament!
This week the European Parliament voted for the new EU budget as proposed in the Interim Report on the Multiannual Financial Framework (#MFF) 2021-2027. This proposal includes doubling the programme budget for Creative Europe and tripling the Erasmus+ budget. ELIA joined a campaign with a total of 59 organisations from the arts, education and cultural sector to support this increase.
We are not there yet, however, because member states still need to support the proposal. This multi-annual EU budget will be discussed at the European Council on 13-14 December 2018. ELIA members can help by contacting their national government and requesting their support for these increases to the education and culture budgets. If you need help, we will announce how to do this during the ELIA Biennial next week, so stay tuned!
Last week, ELIA joined a campaign with a total of 59 organisations from the arts, education and cultural sector, to support a proposed increase to the Creative Europe budget.
Successfully, as the European Parliament Committee on Budgets is now recommending to double the Creative Europe budget and triple Erasmus+funding.
