, the Dutch centra for international activities, and EUNIC,
the European Union of National Institutes of Culture, are organizing a series of lectures on Creative Cities in Europe - addressing such issues as how to turn claims about knowledge economy into material practice, using culture to boost a city, and turning obsolete industrial buildings into creative hotspots. It is one to bear in mind with regard to the role of art schools in the city environment and the public sphere - something we've been doing in strand 1 of artesnet Europe
, and addressing at the City and Art conference as well. But what does it mean? We're eager to hear from you.
By the way - Turin indeed has indeed token the opportunity, helped with EU funding, to turn a foundry for bronze, aluminium and steel into a school for theatre and dance, the Fonderie Limone.
