Open Position: Deputy Director of Learning and Teaching
The Royal Central School of Speech and Drama
(Central) invites applications for a creative and collaborative Deputy Director of Learning and Teaching.
This is a school-wide academic leadership role, focusing on supporting programme leaders and their teams, and ensuring the day-to-day success of the school and curriculum. The Deputy Director will be a developing academic leader, combining strong management skills with a clear record of excellence in teaching in higher education, and strong individual research and/or scholarship. While the area of academic specialism is open, we strongly encourage application from people working across questions of inclusive practice in the arts. The Deputy Director will contribute to Central’s distinctive specialist identity in training practitioners and researchers who will shape the future of theatre and performance.
They especially welcome people to apply from backgrounds historically underrepresented in the drama Conservatoire and Higher Education sector, and who are committed to building and sustaining a diverse, inclusive and equitable environment and industry.
Application deadline: 03 June 2019
