Open Call for Best Practices

08 April 2020

The spread of COVID-19 has brought with it momentous change and uncertainty. The closure of Higher Education institutions has meant for many, a swift transition to working or teaching online. This crisis situation has forced us to think on our feet, find online solutions to campus-based programmes, while continuing to deliver key learning outcomes in all arts disciplines.
However, over the past few weeks we have seen that necessity is the mother of invention. We have heard wonderful stories illustrating innovative ways of teaching, performing, rehearsing, creating and showcasing online. At ELIA, we believe that these new practices are worth sharing, which is why we are announcing an Open Call for presentations.

Open Call for Best Practices

Do you have an inspiring and useful example of how you are dealing with the consequences of COVID-19 and the closure of universities and higher education institutions in the arts? Would you like to share your (new) practices and teaching methods with your peers as part of a digital event, which will also act as a peer-led online resource?

This is an Open Call without a deadline. We will group and select content for presentation and inclusion in an ELIA online event and/or archive as submissions come in. We invite all ELIA members who are interested to submit their proposal by completing this short online form.

We are currently developing a programme of online events and virtual talks which we hope you will join. More details will follow shortly.

In the meantime, please feel free to contact ELIA Conference Manager Janja Ferenc at janja.ferenc@elia-artschools.org should you have any further questions.
