ELIA Signs Joint Letter Calling for an Increase in the EU's Budget for Culture
Today ELIA and 66 other organisation in the cultural and creative sector have signed and sent an open letter to EU institutions urging them to give a significant boost to the EU budget dedicated to culture. Read the letter here.
The letter was issued by IMPALA
(Independent Music Companies Association) and calls on the EU to double the budget allocated to the successor of Creative Europe, the EU’s programme dedicated to the cultural sectors, and ensure these sectors also have access to other sources of EU funding.
ELIA is proud to be supporting this cause and hopes that the European Commission will consider the points mentioned in this letter ahead of the presentation of its draft Regulation for the post-2020 MFF
in May 2018.
