Cultural and Arts Initiatives for Refugees

02 March 2016

In the light of the current wave of migrants fleeing war, terror and insecurity, ELIA would like to share best practice examples of member institutions activities to help. These initiatives show an important aspect of Europe’s capacity to act in solidarity and promote a culturally inclusive vision on our joint future.

ELIA would like to thank all the institutions who sent in their examples of best practices, interesting initiatives and articles as a response to the ELIA board's call to action earlier this year.

In the light of the current wave of migrants fleeing war, terror and insecurity, ELIA would like to share best practice examples of member institutions activities to help. These initiatives show an important aspect of Europe’s capacity to act in solidarity and promote a culturally inclusive vision on our joint future.

ELIA invites all members to share their activities concerning integration of art students, teachers, researchers and practitioners in existing educational, research or other professional activities at their institutions.

The following days we will publish the initiaves that have reached the ELIA office. Each project will be highlighted on our website and our social media to raise awareness and encourage other members to also take action!

Initiaves:
Weißensee Academy of Art Berlin
Goldsmiths University London
HKU: The Publisher
