Ana Garcia-Lopez is Doctor in Fine Arts (2003) with specialization in Environmental Design (UGR) and Computer Graphics (UCLA. Los Angeles, USA.1992-93).
She is Vice-Dean for Internationalization and Research at the Fine Arts Faculty (UGR) and professor (Media Art Projects/Design). She coordinates the Master of Museology at the UGR and has taught in Los Angeles, CA, (Bilingual Education), lectures in Doctoral Programs and has organized Research Conferences. She is currently director of five international doctoral theses in Fine Arts (Doctorate program in Art and History.UGR).
She has directed the International Exhibition on Ephemeral Art in Granada in 2008 and 2009, and the Granada Millenium Biennale. Contemporary Art and Heritage in November and December 2011 and is preparing the 2017 edition of this Ephemeral art Exhibition in Granada www.efimeragranada.com. She has wide experience in curatorial activities as well as taking part in international art prizes jury.
She is researcher in funded Research projects such as the SPORA. Art, Science and Technology, Research, the FP7 Marie Curie GlocalFineArt project, (1.9 million euros) in European Art market, the “Cultural Transfer on Crafts, Design and Contemporary Art” project in Morocco and Spain or “ARTAPP. Visual arts, talent management and cultural management for Young artists” among others.
She is member of several international networks as ELIA (from 2014) or Paradox Fine Art European Forum (from 2009). She was CEO of ALDEAVISUAL company (design and animation projects) and is president of the Cultural Society “ARTES ARt, TEchnology and Society” that organizes courses, seminars, workshops and international exhibitions.
