The Utrecht School of the Arts opens its doors to the 6th ELIA Teachers’ Academy 2013 - Preparing the Artist of Tomorrow held 24 - 26 June 2013 in Utrecht and Amsterdam, The Netherlands.

The Teachers’ Academy is an international platform for ideas and practices for teachers in artschools in Europe and beyond. Its main aim is to contribute to the professional development for lecturers in higher arts education.

The current delegates list is now online and full papers and presentations are now available for viewing in the presenters pages.

NEW NOW LIVE Festival 22-26 June, 2013 in Amsterdam.

The NEW NOW Festival provides an innovative platform for the most exciting and creative NEU artistic talent NOW emerging from higher arts education institutions and universities across Europe - and beyond - to present themselves to wider audiences in the NEW NOW Online Festival and the NEW NOW LIVE Festival.

The European League of Institutes of the Arts received hundreds of nominations from art institutions across Europe from which an international jury selected 70 projects from 20 countries to be part of the NEW NOW Online Festival. In a second jury selection, 29 projects from across 14 countries were selected from the 70 to be part of the NEW NOW LIVE Festival.

The fifth edition of the NEW NOW Online Festival and the NEW NOW LIVE Festival includes projects arranged across the following five art disciplines:

> Design


> Music/Sound

> Film

EQ-arts Experts Training 2013
7-9 November 2013
Birmingham City University, School of Art

ELIA and EQ-arts is pleased to announce the fourth international institutional and subject review training workshop for experts. 

EQ-arts offers higher arts education institutions preparing for European Quality measures comprehensive guidance about how to establish a ‘quality’ culture. 

The Experts Training workshop prepares participants to become reviewers in international review panels of EQ-arts and consequently an experts that can serve on national agencies accreditation panels. The workshop provides insights in international standards and developments in the area of quality assurance and enhancement.

6th ELIA Leadership Symposium
27-29 November 2013, Helsinki

Hosted by the University of the Arts Helsinki, the 6th ELIA Leadership Symposium will take place the 27-29 November 2013 at the Helsinki Congress Paasitorni under the title E/MERGE.

The deadline for early-bird registrations, which offers a 100€ discount, is 31 August.

To ensure an optimal level of interaction, representation, focus and collegiality, participation will be limited to leaders and key decision makers. To create an intimate and professional frame for discussion, the Leadership Symposium is limited to a maximum of 100 delegates.
