How to Stay Connected at the ELIA Biennial

The 12th ELIA Biennial Conference, hosted by the University of Applied Arts Vienna (Die Angewandte) kicks off today!

Everyone on the Biennial team is delighted to welcome you to the largest conference on Higher Arts Education worldwide in the beautiful MuseumsQuartier Wien.

Connect to Free Wifi

There are several Wifi options available in the MuseumsQuartier but we advise that you use the network "HEG-LS1", password 0912673854, as it has the fastest connection speed and is intended for use especially by Biennial delegates.

For more information please refer to the Biennial Wifi Guide given to you at the registration desk. You can also get a copy of this sheet or ask for technical assistance at the information desk at any point during the conference.


Download the ELIA Biennial App!


To enhance your Biennial experience and stay in the city the conference team has put together a downloadable app, compatible with all android and iOS devices, for instructions for download please scroll below.

The app has a full feature set including maps of conference venues and other points of interests in Vienna, a full listing of the Biennial programme as well as live updating blog, photo, video and twitter streams.


The app’s premiere feature is the ability to vote on The Fifteen Statements about Higher Arts Education digitally on your mobile device. Please note to make use of all features of the app please swipe directly over the symbols on the bottom of the screen to browse through to the second page


Digital Voting on The Fifteen Statements


To vote online please follow the download instructions below to install the app and then click on “Statements”. This will bring you to a digital poll where you can select a maximum of seven statements you feel are of importance to Higher Arts Education. After making your selection please press the “Vote” button.

After submitting, the polling widget will display “Thank you for voting”. Further instructions for voting are included on the polling page.

The statements can also be voted on directly via a web browser by visiting: eliabiennial.ning.com/fifteenstatements
 
 
 

Instructions for Downloading the App

Compatible with all android and iOS (iphone, iphone 5, ipod touch, ipad) devices.

Hard copies of the following instructions have been included in your delegates'  bag and can be obtained any time at the information desk.

For Android Users

Step 1) On your android device, navigate to the Google Play Store.

Step 2) Search for “ELIA". It will be among the first results to appear and is recognizable by our logo. Click on the ELIA app icon.

Step 3) ) This will bring you to another page listing details about the app. Press the “INSTALL” icon.

Step 4) The app will finish downloading shortly and will appear on your home screen.

Alternative Download Method for Android Users
If the above method does not work please try the following:

Step 1) Copy the following link into the web browser on your mobile device:
tinyurl.com/androidelia

Step 2) This will bring you directly to the Google Play store. Click the “Install” button.


For Apple Users

Step 1) Open the app store by clicking on the blue app store icon.     
                                                                                                                    
Step 2) Search for “ELIA” (ipad users please note the app will function on your device but you must search for and download it from the iphone store). It will be among the first results to appear and is recognizable by our logo. Click on the “INSTALL” icon in the upper right hand corner of page.

Step 3) This will bring you to another page listing details about the app. Press the “INSTALL” icon in the upper right hand corner of the page again. If prompted enter your app store password.

Step 4) The app will finish downloading shortly and will appear as the last app on your home screen. If it does appear on the first page of your home screen, scroll through the pages until it appears.


Alternative Download Method for Apple Users
If the above method does not work please try the following:

Step 1) Copy the following link into the web browser on your mobile device: tinyurl.com/macelia

Step 2) This will bring you directly to the app store. Follow the same directions as above from Step 3 forward.
