We are extremely excited to announce that Maria Balshaw, the Director of Tate, will give a keynote on Friday 23 November at the 15th ELIA Biennial Conference!

As Director, she has overall responsibility for Tate’s strategic direction and day to day operations, working with a talented group of colleagues to further Tate’s mission to promote the public understanding and enjoyment of British art, and of twentieth-century and contemporary art.

In her speech, she will address the role of institutions in building the resilience and training artists for the future.

Call for Representative Board Nominations 2018-2022

Get involved! Would you like to be in the next ELIA Representative Board? 
The next ELIA General Assembly will take place on 24 November 2018, coinciding with the 15th ELIA Biennial Conference in Rotterdam. During the General Assembly meeting, elections will be held for the Representative Board.

 We invite member institutions to submit nominations for the ELIA Representative Board for the period of 2018-2022. Follow the link to find out more information on the procedure and how to fill in the form.

The deadline for nominations is 1 October 2018.

We are excited to announce that ELIA will be in London this September! ELIA brings together its UK-members and a number of international speakers to talk about internationalisation in Higher Arts Education in a post-Brexit world. 

The meeting will take place on 21 September 2018,  hosted by the Royal College of Art at their Battersea Campus in London.

NXT Toolkits - Intellectual Property and Pricing Your Work

The 3-year NXT-Making a Living from the Arts project came to a festive conclusion in April at the NXT Seminar, where the results of the project and research were presented to policymakers and project partners. We are happy to share that the two toolkits that were developed as part of the NXT Project deliverables are now available digitally here
