ELIA and AEC Open Letter on the Key Competences for Lifelong Learning

Following the joint statement released by ELIA and AEC in November 2017, the two organisations consulted several leading European Higher Arts Education Institutions and sent an open letter on 29 March to the members of the Culture and Education Committee of the European Parliament and the EACEA at the European Commission.

The open letter is a proposal for two amendments to the text on the eight key competences identified by the European Commission for a recommendation to the Council of Europe. With these alterations to the proposed key competences, our sector should be better positioned to contribute to formulating a common reference framework for education and culture.
