Registration is open for the NXT Project Seminar!
Making a Living from the Arts in 2025 
12 April 2018, Brussels

On 12 April 2018, the final NXT Project Seminar Making a Living from the Arts in 2025 will take place in Brussels, hosted by and in collaboration with Culture Action Europe and BOZAR, Centre for Fine Arts Brussels.
The NXT Seminar is a small-scale event in which the project partners present the main project outcomes and a position paper including the main project recommendations for the European Commission and policymakers.

Part of the final project deliverables is the NXT Project research, which collected the feedback of about 200 stakeholder institutions and includes 9 case studies of higher arts education institutions centres and independent creative hubs.

The 'Enable' Symposium in Leuven: a tribute to Johan Verbeke
20-22 April 2018, Leuven

KU Leuven University's Architecture Faculty announces the 'Enable' Symposium. The symposium is a tribute to Johan Verbeke and his contributions to the field of artistic research.
The symposium is building further on Johan’s critical approach, his advocacy for designerly thinking in research, his plea for research through design, based on the insights as they emerge during design practice.

The symposium will be at KU Leuven Faculty of Architecture Campus Sint-Lucas Ghent. ELIA is collaborating with EAAE, ARENA, EURICUR and eCAADe to organise this conference.

The EAP Summer School Bucharest May 2018 is centred around modules designed for students in Master studies: sociology, fine arts, anthropology, art history and art theory.

ELIA joins the Alliance for Culture to Call for Substantial Support for the Arts, Culture and Heritage 

Having followed the Commission’s high-level conference on the future MFF-framework on 8-9 January 2018 as well as discussions in the European Parliament, the European Alliance for Culture and the Arts calls on the European institutions and Members States to ensure substantial support for culture, the arts and heritage within the post-2020 Multiannual Financial Framework (MFF).
