NXT CONFERENCE 2017: Speakers Announced!

Making a Living from the Arts


The two-day dynamic event aims to stimulate critical debate on what is meant by cultural entrepreneurship, both in and outside academia.
Expect a wide variety of presentations by keynote speakers, academics and cultural entrepreneurs, in-depth and practical discussions, case studies presentations and networking opportunities.

NEU NOW 2017 Selected Artists Online

NEU NOW, the post-disciplinary art festival devoted to presenting the work of emerging artists returns to Amsterdam’s Westergasfabriek from 14–17 September 2017.

The countdown has begun! There are less than three short months before NEU NOW 2017 opens its doors at the Westergasfabriek and welcomes the artists selected to showcase their work live at the festival.

8th ELIA Academy - ONLY FEW PLACES AVAILABLE

The 8th ELIA Academy will examine elasticity as a core momentum in today's learning and teaching in higher art education. The event will take place 5-7 July 2017 and is hosted by Central Saint Martins, the Teaching and Learning Exchange at the University of the Arts London.

Be an EARLY-BIRD! Register for the 8th ELIA Leadership Symposium 
Interact with peers, share and compare experiences, explore new opportunities at the ELIA Leadership Symposium! Early-bird deadline is 31 July 2017

The symposium will be held from 29 November - 1 December 2017 and is hosted by University of Arts in Poznan.  The overall theme of the symposium:  Heritage/Transition/Values.

The speakers confirmed are
  •  Jan Sowa (sociologist and activist)
  • Krzysztof Czyżewski (writer, theatre director and philosopher)
  • Magdalena Moskalewicz (art historian, editor and curator)
  • Vasyl Cherepanyn (lecturer of cultural studies and editor)

NEU NOW 2016 Artists Showcase in Basel

NEU NOW 2016 artists Jaeyong Choi, Lana Ruellan, Jacob Storer and Theo Livesey are showcasing their work during Art Basel at the Basel Academy of Art and Design - Hochschule für Gestaltung und Kunst FHNW in collaboration with ELIA!
Carla Delfos was in Basel to open the exhibition and welcome the artists. The exhibition runs until 16 June 2017.

EQ-Arts News  

Meet the New EQ-Arts Board 
On 15 May 2017,  EQ-Arts held its first Board Meeting with new board
members Lucien Bollaert (Independent International QA expert, Vice-Chair of EQAR, author and visiting professor, BE) and Philippe Hardy (International consultant French Ministry of Culture, FR). They join Robert Baker (Chair), Paula Crabtree and Lars Ebert (Secretary).
 
Joint Audit with AQ Austria at UfG Linz
EQ-Arts and AQ Austria worked together successfully for the first time in a joint audit for UfG Linz. The audit reviewed the quality management system at the University in the framework of the Austrian system.
