Interact with peers, share and compare experiences, explore new opportunities at our 8th Leadership Symposium!

We are very pleased to announce that the upcoming 8th Leadership Symposium will take place in Poznan, Poland. The symposium will be held from 29 November - 1 December 2017 and will be organized in partnership with the University of Arts in Poznan. This year’s discussion will be focused on the theme: Heritage/Transition/Values

Expect high profile inspirational keynote speeches, engaging discussions, explorations of the local cultural scene, visits in the city and networking with colleagues from across Europe and beyond.

Call for Venues - 9th Leadership Symposium 2019
Deadline 15 September 2017 


ELIA would like to call upon its members to nominate a venue for the 9th ELIA Leadership Symposium 2019. 
 
As experienced in the previous editions, the ELIA Leadership Symposium gives the co-organising host institutes a unique opportunity to present themselves to the European and international art education institutes as well as all the related national and international organisations.

Introducing the Jury of NEU NOW 2017


While the Call for Artists for NEU NOW 2017 closed with a record number of nominations, this year’s international jury of leading arts professionals started reviewing the nominated artworks to make their recommendations for the official selection. Meet the 16 jury members.

NEU NOW 2017 Festival will take place in Amsterdam on 14-17 September 2017. 
 
 
 

8th ELIA Academy: EARLY BIRD DEADLINE approaching!

The 8th ELIA Academy will examine elasticity as a core momentum in today's learning and teaching in higher arts education, and it will explore this theme from four different angles: curiosity, hybridity, research, social change.

The event will take place 5-7 July 2017 and is co-organised by Central Saint Martins, the Teaching and Learning Exchange at the University of the Arts London and ELIA!

During this three-day event you will have the opportunity to meet colleagues from all over the world, while discussing innovative working methods and practices for educating the next generation of artists.

NXT Residency 2017: Make Yourself an Expert Hub starts on 1 April  in Vienna
The NXT Residency 2017 is starting on 1 April, hosted by the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna, in cooperation with Make Yourself an Expert Hub 2017 and the Centre for Knowledge Transfer East (WTZ OST). 5 international and 5 Austrian artists will will have the unique chance to kick-start their international careers and use the skills they acquired to establish successful careers in the art world.

In conjuction with NEU NOW 2017, the NXT Making a Living from the Arts Conference will take place 14-15 September 2017 in Amsterdam. The event is hosted by the Amsterdam University of the Arts (AHK) and ELIA.
