Invitation for Contributions: Share your examples of cross-cultural collaboration!
9th ELIA Leadership Symposium
Mapping the Common Ground: collaborations across cultures
20 – 22 November 2019 | Hosted by China Art Academy in Hangzhou, China
The upcoming edition of the Leadership Symposium focuses on the cross-cultural challenges within the realm of higher arts education, specifically as they apply to collaborations between leading Chinese and Western arts universities and academies, with the goal of mapping the common ground.
Send us examples from your practice!
The steering group invites colleagues from ELIA member institutions to share their experience. We are interested not only in the successful outcomes but also in the bumps on the road of transcultural collaboration to form the basis of a session at the symposium.
- Have you collaborated with an HAE institution from another part of the world i.e. cooperation projects between HAE institutions?
- What were the challenges and the advantages?
- What did you learn from your experience?
Selection criteria:
- Relevance to the theme: Mapping the Common Ground
- Relevance to leadership issues in higher arts education
- Balanced representation of disciplines, areas of expertise and countries
- Ability to spark or generate discussion and debate
