Nottenboom from Union-Gewerbehof für umwelt- und sozialverträgliche Techniken and Janis Gailitis from the Art Academy of Latvia, attended the Empty Spaces + Creative Industries = Creative Placemaking? conference in Riga, as part of their second regional visits to the capital of Latvia.
The conference - workshop brought together representatives of the Municipality of Riga and experts, practitioners, developers and civil servants from Latvia, Germany, Denmark and France who appreciate the potential of vacated buildings and see spatial planning concepts as well as the promotion of the creative industries as opportunities to trigger economic development in Riga.
