The European League of Institutes of the Arts, ELIA , founded in 1990, is an independent network of approximately 315 Arts Education Institutes covering all the disciplines of the Arts - Dance, Design, Theatre, Fine Art, Music, Media Arts and Architecture - from 47 countries.

ELIA is issuing a call for proposals for short videos (maximum 3 minutes) within the context of the European Commission’s promotion of multilingualism. The competition is being organised as a contribution to the 2008 European Year of Intercultural Dialogue, EYID.

Students are asked to develop an artistic proposal for a video with a maximum length of 3 minutes. The proposal should reflect Europe's linguistic diversity and the role played by different languages in intercultural dialogue in Europe.

ELIA and Hotel Bloom! in Brussels have signed an amazing agreement. Royal Crown Brussels has been renovated into its current form: the Bloom! Hotel www.hotelbloom.com . Over 4.100 square meters of wall within the hotel rooms will be decorated with mural paintings. The paintings will be created by students, graduates and post graduates from the ELIA member institutions, from over 30 European countries. And you can be one of them!!!
