Nantes, FranceGraduated in Aesthetic from the University Paris Panthéon-Sorbonne, Mai Tran develops since 20 years several professional activities in the art contemporary field : art critic for different publications like contemporay art magazines like zérodeux, revue d’Art-Recherche-Création 303… and exhibitiion catalogues (Born in Dystopia, Paris Rosenblum Collection & Friends…), she collaborates with a few French cultural institutions (Frac des Pays de la Loire, Musée Mobile…). She was in charge of the editorial direction at Nantes School of Art and published recently Catalogue des ressources, + de réalité and Open Sky Museum with the publisher Jannink, in Paris ; La Visite des écoles d’art, by Al Dante, Marseille, and a monography on Maria Thereza Alves following her residency in Nantes.

Mai Tran is now in charge of International and Communication of Nantes School of Art high education programs and contributes to international exchanges and the -development of the project Fieldwork : Marfa, Texas, USA in partnertship with the HEAD–Genève and Houston University School of Art. She’s also working on an international conference on the question of world exchanges which will be held in the new fine arts school on Nantes Island in October 2017.
