Prof. Sonintogos Erdenetsogt is a President of Mongolian State University of Arts and Culture, Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia. She graduated from Saints-Petersburg State University, being specialized in journalism. She defended her PhD in psycholinguistics at National University of Mongolia. As a journalist she had worked for the leading news agencies, newspapers and radio station of the country. She authored, co-authored, translated and edited more than 20 books and worked as an editor and consultant for several documentaries.
As President of MSUAC (since 2010), she has implemented numerous big scale projects, including the international forums “Culture and Development” (2012) and “Creative Cultural Industries” (2015), organized under the auspices of UNESCO and Ministry of Education, Culture and Science of Mongolia, and MSUAC’s socially engaged programs such as the nomadic arts festival “Culture Naadam” and street festival “My city – my homeland”.
Prof. Sonintogos works intensively to develop international collaboration of MSUAC. Today the university has more than 30 partner institutions in Asia, Europe and America, and it is a member of such internationally recognized networks as ELIA, ELIA, ATEC, UNINET, etc. In 2016 MSUAC hosted the ATEC 2nd World Theater Education Convention and 4th Asian Theater Schools Festival. MSUAC is leading the other state universities with a number of foreign students studying in Mongolia which shows its growing prestige and recognition.
Currently MSUAC President Sonintogos E. is Non-European Member of the ELIA Representative Board, and Board Member of Asian League of Institutes of the Arts (ALIA) and Consortium of Mongolian Universities and Colleges (CMUC).
