

Biennial participants will be selected to present a paper and or good practice during the symposia en discipline sessions. With this Call for Papers and Presentations we hope to encourage colleagues from ELIA member institutions from all art disciplines to consider contributing to the Biennial Conference 2010. A maximum of 16 presentations for the symposia and 20 presentations for the discipline sessions will be selected. The working language during the Biennial Conference will be English.

Submissions should be written to stimulate dialogue and relate to the aims and focus of the specific symposium theme, keeping in mind the overarching theme of the conference. The presentation should be appealing to the European higher arts education audience and to representatives of all art disciplines.
Submissions should include the following:
- Presentation Title/Theme and symposium number (see below)
- An abstract (max. 400 words)
- A summary of the presentation (max. 100 words)
- 3 statements/questions for discussion

Submissions should be written to stimulate dialogue, sharing good and/or innovative practice concerning the specific art discipline in relation to the overarching theme for the conference.
Submissions should include the following:
- Presentation Title/Theme and art discipline number (see below)
- An abstract (max. 400 words)
- A summary of the presentation (max. 100 words)
- 3 statement/questions for discussion

All submissions will be peer reviewed by an international panel and the selection will reflect a balanced division of regions, countries and disciplines. The international panel will present their preferred selection to the steering committee, responsible for shaping the content of the Biennial Conference, who will make the final decision. The deadline for submissions of presentations will be Monday 14 December 2009. The selection will take place in December and January and applicants will be informed on 28 January 2010.
