Cape Town

The City of Cape Town, often cited as one of the most beautiful cities in the world, owes much of its reputation to its unique location. The city bowl is nestled between a coastal mountain range that tapers down the peninsula and by the Indian and Atlantic oceans on either side. The dramatic Southern tip of Africa is equally marked by breathtaking natural beauty- from azure beaches to wild coastal cliff tops and meandering mountain slopes- and by cultural dynamism and diversity.

As new comers to the city, the range of experiences at ones doorstep is vast- from gallery hopping or coffee sampling in one of the cities design districts to experiencing the views from ontop of world renowned Table Mountain. The culinary scene in Cape Town is thriving, with many scenically placed and reputable restaurants, cafes and eateries to choose from. When exploring the surrounds of Cape Town, one can expect rolling wine-farms, spectacular beaches and warm hospitality.

Cape Town’s complex history as an important port city that marked the beginning of the era of global travel is still tangible today, its melting pot of cultures and civilisations predates the colonial era. The remaining historical divisions that have structured the city and its surrounds bear testimony to the ongoing project of transformation and social change that South African citizens are commited to establishing as a democratic nation. This living history is also an important one to engage in and learn from.
