NEU/NOW Festival 2012: Call for Nominations
For the next edition of the NEU/NOW Festival, we invite member schools to nominate their best graduating talent in five categories: Visual Arts, Design, Theatre/Dance, Music/Sound, and Film. The Festival takes place online at neunow.com and live in Porto, 11-15 July. Deadline for nominations is 31 January.
 
QA&E Experts Workshop
In the last years ELIA has developed a distinct approach towards Quality Assurance and Enhancement, including a methodology tailored for Higher Arts Education Institutions. The next training workshop for QA&E experts is in Birmingham, 23-25 February.
 
Languages through Lenses: Call for proposals
ELIA and CILECT are organising the fifth edition of Languages through Lenses. We invite students to submit proposals for new video productions that highlight the advantages of speaking and learning foreign languages in innovative, witty, creative, unexpected ways. Selected projects will receive a production budget of € 5000 and feature at PRIX EUROPA Festival in Berlin. Deadline for proposals is 1 March.

Anna Neubauer new Chancellor of HFBK Hamburg

As of January 2012, Dr. Anna Neubauer will be the new Chancellor of University of the Arts (HFBK) Hamburg. She succeeds Horst-Volkert Thiel, who was Chancellor from 2006-2011 and is now retiring. More in the HFBK Newsletter Lerchen_Feld.
